The MP40 submachine gun was manufactured by Erma and Steyr from 1940 to 1944, with over a million produced during this time. Its predecessors are the MP36 and MP38. This self-loading 9mm rifle has a die-cast zinc housing and handle, a cold-forged steel barrel, milled steel breech, strong extractor claw, active ejector, and folding rear sight. A 5-round detachable magazine is included.
